1/ If the pandemic underscores anything, it& #39;s that we are now a country of partisans. Even in life of death situations, the poll numbers are not ever going to move. Trump could get caught red-handed next week skimming $ of his weird plan of
2/ giving PPE to distribution companies formed by lobbyists to sell to states and healthcare providers, and those poll numbers still won& #39;t move. In the end, the largest number of casualties might end up being in Red States, and the poll numbers still won& #39;t move.
3/ On the other (but not equal, don& #39;t f**king @ me), the truth is the non-right-wing media (most newspapers excepted) *has* done a s**ty job in this crisis. As best I can tell it& #39;s about 90% re-reported gaffes the POTUS just made, and 10% healthcare info and investigative
4/ journalism about everything the administration does that clearly needs scrutiny. (See again: why& #39;re we giving needed PPEs to DC lobbyists & Trump PAC operators to sell to states and HC providers.)

And *that* feels like something those who of us who aren& #39;t MAGAs
5/ should be furious about, but as best I can tell we& #39;re not. We& #39;d rather have the media outlets focus on the Trump gaffes, if everything I& #39;m seeing is any indication.

This pandemic is holding up a mirror, and we should all be distressed about what we are seeing. /end rant
