1/ If the pandemic underscores anything, it's that we are now a country of partisans. Even in life of death situations, the poll numbers are not ever going to move. Trump could get caught red-handed next week skimming $ of his weird plan of
2/ giving PPE to distribution companies formed by lobbyists to sell to states and healthcare providers, and those poll numbers still won't move. In the end, the largest number of casualties might end up being in Red States, and the poll numbers still won't move.
3/ On the other (but not equal, don't f**king @ me), the truth is the non-right-wing media (most newspapers excepted) *has* done a s**ty job in this crisis. As best I can tell it's about 90% re-reported gaffes the POTUS just made, and 10% healthcare info and investigative
4/ journalism about everything the administration does that clearly needs scrutiny. (See again: why're we giving needed PPEs to DC lobbyists & Trump PAC operators to sell to states and HC providers.)

And *that* feels like something those who of us who aren't MAGAs
5/ should be furious about, but as best I can tell we're not. We'd rather have the media outlets focus on the Trump gaffes, if everything I'm seeing is any indication.

This pandemic is holding up a mirror, and we should all be distressed about what we are seeing. /end rant
