when i first joined the mewgulf side of twt, i thought everyone here is nice and warm and loving. but over time, i now see that SOME of you go way across the line w/ how you react to certain things, preaching how you do everything to "just protect mg" while what you actually do+
is make more drama and create a toxic environment with mostly a way overprotective behaviour, support bullying culture, feel entitled, overthink something simple and change the simple into "this thing is actually an evil plan make everyone hate mg".
most of the actors in the industry is friends with each other. run wouldn't rt a funny edit a creative fan made just because you think he hates mg. some of the replies to r were so out of the line, so hateful. and for what?
if the edit fuels anything bad towards m, it's only relevant to haters who already hated him before that, not to fans who r just here to have a good time w/friends. the problem r people who try to find a hidden meaning behind innocent things, creating more drama between fandoms
getting mad at translators who use b/g hashtag when translating something abt their friendly interactions w/ eo. getting mad at multistans. getting mad at hard stans (nsfw side of twt). getting mad at everyone who doesn't meet your "standard fan" expectations.
instead of focusing on real haters who actually say bad n harmful stuff abt mg, you focus on fans who actually love the boys - just because the way they show their love is different from your way. you feel entitled, you feel better than everyone else, above other fans, hollier.
if mewgulf ever feel like hiding something from us, it's because of fans like that, overprotective fans who turn everything into drama, fans who try to destroy boys' friendships outside their ship. check yourself first before you throw rocks at other fans.
also, if you get mad at this thread, i guess the shoe fits, huh. you can unfollow or even block or report me. but i'm just here to share my observations about SOME fans, as i said before.
i don't know if the fandom is just too young, being here just a year and still trying to find their footing, their balance and the set of rules of what's allowed and what's not. it's gonna be a lot of mistakes before making the fandom be better.
there will always be toxic fans. just don't be them. be happy with what you have, don't feel entitled, have fun with your friends, create whatever content that you want that makes you happy, don't be negative toward others who aren't doing you any wrong. love and be loved.
and don't directly reply under mewgulf's posts or under mg's friends' posts about fandom drama. they share with us their private lives because they love us, not because they owe us anything. they don't, so let's not feel entitled to anything about their private issues.
i've been in fandoms since early 2000s, almost two decades now. i saw a lot going down, and what actually hurt the fandoms the most. i just don't want to see this warm and happy mg fandom turn into something broken behind the scenes. love you, guys. let's love our boys together.
