i think the most effective leader is one who doesnt care if people think badly of him. ofc, it’s a given that he has to listen and take note of what his critics are saying, but this shouldnt break his spirit
a leader acts in the best interests of everyone, even if some people disagree. i think thats why politicians are such dicks — they’d much rather have the public love them than accomplish things that actually matter
we should stop leading for ourselves, (i.e. bcuz it puts people on a pedestal) but for our members. Being a good person doesnt automatically make a good leader. those really kind leaders are most of the time, indecisive and inefficient
IM NOT SAYING TO STOP BEING KIND. but dont lead cuz u want people to like u! sure, let it be ur motivation, but don’t jeopardize team performance to make urself look good
whenever i lead, i come off as overbearing and too enthusiastic. dont mistake me as a crazy, power freak, i just want the group to be efficient and have a positive outlook on tasks, even though i know we’d much rather be watching dua lipa
