The Kirishimas' move in a new neighborhood and right away, everyone loves them. The two moms are so sweet and their adoptive son? Somehow, even sweeter. Eijiro is the first to offer neighborly assistance to anyone who might be in need.
The first person to jump on the opportunity to mow lawns, fix fences and even help supervise the lemonade stand a few of the smaller kids on the block wanted to set up. He could and would do whatever he could to help out.
After all, he was heading off to Africa in about a month to join the Pe/ace corps, an organization he learned about during his first year of college. He planned on going after he graduated, but once he heard about some local villages in dire need, well he couldn't not go.
A little gap year would be fine if I meant saving some lives, right? He was 20, he had plenty of time. Plus his moms were 100% supportive of him and really, that's all that matters. Now it's just waiting for his Vi/sa and other paperwork to get approved and he'll be on his way.
As much as he was anxious to leave and get to work right away, Eijiro was happy he had a little time to help his moms settle down into their new home. It really was a win win situation for him and this new neighborhood seemed to be perfect!
Sure there were some aesthetic issues, but now that he'd fixed them, this really was the perfect little street.

He loved how everyone depended on him already. It made him feel important and needed.
So when one of his neighbors approached him with a favor, of course he'd say yes!
Sure he'd never babysat before but he was great with kids! Mrs. Bakugou must have seen how he did with the lemonade stand!

"Listen Eijiro, my Katsuki...he's a handful, are you sure you are up for it?"
He totally was! But it was kinda strange how he'd been here a little over a month now and had never once seen or even heard about the Bakugou's having a little boy, but he figured now was better than never.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, Mrs.B!"
She looked worried, but agreed he was the best and most level headed person for the job.

How tough could it be? It was just a weekend!
Friday rolls around and with weekend bag in hand, Eijiro knocks on the door.

He's slightly startled when it isn't Mr. or Mrs. Bakugou who answer the door.
"Oh for fucks sake," the man who answered growls upon seeing Eijiro. "Bitch are you JOKING?"

The man lets the door swing open as he turns to huff back in the living room, yelling. It's not quite an invitation, but Eijiro steps inside anyway, closing the door behind him.
Eijiro stands there awkwardly while in the kitchen he can hear more yelling. This time, Mrs. Bakugou is screaming back.

"You NEED a babysitter Katsuki!"

"I'm fucking twenty!"

Oh.

Without warning, Mrs. Bakugou comes into the living room, giving him a strained smile.
"I see you've met my son, Katsuki," she says.

There's got to be some mistake, maybe this isn't the boy he's supposed to watch.

"I did, sorta? He seems...nice." it was a lie but Eijiro is a polite boy. "Now who am I supposed to be babysitting?"
"Fucking no one asshole, now get the hell out of here," the blonde guy from earlier yells, emerging from the other room red-faced and so angry. He'd be cuter if he wasn't scowling, Eijiro thinks fleetingly.

Mitsuki looks sheepish but serious when she points to the other blonde.
It takes Eijiro a few blinks to process that he really was being asked to 'babysit' someone older than him if what he heard was true.

Still shocked, but not without manners, he manages to give her a weak head nod and says, "okay then." He did agree to this after all.
"I'll kill you if you stay," Katsuki threatens.

Eijiro swallows when he looks over at Katsuki, who's eyes seemed to be trying to murder him. They are sharp and malicious and even if they are an unfairly gorgeous shade of red, Eijiro looks away.
"He won't kill you," Mrs. Bakugou says soothingly, walking over to him to rub a small hand on Eijiro's shoulder. She leans in to quickly whisper, "don't worry, I locked away all the knives."

He gulps.
When Mrs. Bakugou pulls him in for a quick hug, over her shoulder Katsuki is glaring at him, bringing a hand to his throat to imitate a knife slicing his neck.

This was going to be a very long weekend.
