Its been over a week since SC ordered release of Alamgir Wazir. Yesterday, we were waiting outside camp jail for his release when we found out he was no longer there. Many prisoners were shifted due to #CoronavirusOutbreak in the jail. Alamgir was shifted on the morning of the

day he was supposed to be released. We were told he was in Hafizabad and would be released today. Now we are told they cannot confirm if he is in Hafizabad and his release would take at least another two days.

A student was abducted & imprisoned for 4 months. He was kept in an

overcrowded jail that experienced #CoronavirusOutbreak. Finally SC released him but now officials cant even locate him.

Still unsure whether this state is more cruel or incompetent. Both are equally unpardonable in the midst of a pandemic.

Cruelty is that he was kept in a prison that was a known epicenter of corona virus for two weeks but was shifted on the day he was supposed to be released. Incompetence is that jail officials are not sure if he is Hafizabad or some other prison. Shameful! #ReleaseAlamgirWazir
