On Peak Timing: With the exception of China, most physicians across the world believe that the peak of the #COVID19 outbreak is still ahead.
On Restrictions of Movement: As of March 25-27, half of U.S. physicians recommend current restrictions on movement stay in effect for six weeks or more, even though 41% believe the peak is at least 3-4 weeks away.
On Physician Needs: To effectively deal with the #COVID19 outbreak, physicians list personal protective equipment, testing kits and ventilators as the three most critical needs.
On Needed Information: The top three #COVID19 topics physicians want more information about are efficacy of existing medications, new treatments to prevent the rate of infection, and the availability of rapid tests.
On Testing: 85% of U.S. physicians report #COVID19 testing takes 2-5 days or longer, while nearly half of international physicians report testing is completed within just 24 hours.
On Treatments & Efficacy: 3 most commonly prescribed treatments amongst #COVID19 treaters are 56% analgesics, 41% Azithromycin, and 33% Hydroxychloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine was chosen as the overall most effective therapy from a list of 15 options (37% of COVID-19 treaters)
On How #Pharma Can Help: Physicians are most requesting development of new rapid tests & new drugs that offer immunity to front-line workers, and accelerated efforts to test existing drugs to treat #COVID19
