Lies, incompetence and lack of capacity. That's the theme running through all this.

Lies from the Tories for a decade. Incompetence economically, on Brexit, and they've taken it to a whole new level now.

And when a party systematically destroys the state, what happens?
It finds that it can't test for this virus to anything like the extent it needs to. It finds it doesn't have the beds, or the ICU units, or the ventilators it needs. The reason why the Tories jumped at 'herd immunity' is they KNEW all this. They knew the UK couldn't cope.
And the reason the UK can't cope is because of what the Conservative Party has done to it, and is still doing even now.

Hardly any business loans have been granted. Universal Credit hotlines are jammed. 111 is jammed. The government advice has been confused. People are dying.
LET'S CLAP FOR BORIS AND CHEER FOR RISHI AREN'T THEY AMAZING WE'RE SO LUCKY TO HAVE THEM

No. Let's highlight what's actually going on here. How even the numbers of deaths bear no relation to the reality. About how the poorest and sickest are being thrown to their deaths.
And as for their failure to even protect NHS workers: on the very frontline, actually giving their lives to save others... may God have mercy on these Tory bastards, and all those who've cheerled their savage path of destruction over the last decade.
Austerity was always, always a political choice. A political choice to make the most vulnerable pay for the excesses of the super-rich: all so they could get even richer. It didn't have to be this way.
Any society is only as strong as its weakest member. It's not about the ceiling. It's about the floor.

For what they have done, a reckoning is coming the Tories' way. A whirlwind. Now, even their own voters are getting it in the neck. Many of them, literally.
So this joke of a government goes around pointing the finger every which way but at itself - after it sat on its hands and did nothing as a global pandemic developed, then continued to give out disastrously, catastrophically wrong advice.
Coronavirus can remain in someone's body for up to 37 days. Not 7. Not 14. Thirty-seven. Coronavirus is transmitted through tiny, invisible droplets - covering a longer distance than the 'experts' acknowledge, and staying in the air for alarming periods of time.
And contrary to what we've all been told, of course masks help! They're not a prevention, but they do help. If they didn't help, doctors, nurses and frontline workers wouldn't need them so desperately.

Yet what do we get?
We get the Prime Minister himself going around shaking hands with everyone - including with people in hospitals! - and taking no notice of social distancing protocols at daily press conferences.

We get the Health Secretary coming out of self-isolation after... six days. WTF?
We get lies about the EU which amount to "the dog ate my homework". We get established ventilator suppliers ignored. We get lies about the numbers of ventilators available and lies about when new ones will become available.
They're too malignant to run the UK. They're too stupid to run the UK. They're too self-serving to run the UK.

Now, finally, more and more people are going to wake up and see that. Entrusting the country's welfare to this shower is like entrusting your kids to Peter Sutcliffe.
"I'm alright, Jack"? Well - what happens when you're no longer alright and need help? Many are discovering that right now.

"Illness is a sign of weakness! On your bike and stop scrounging!" You were saying, Tory voters?
And with much of the press suddenly in its own desperate financial trouble, even its many right wing lickspittles and propagandists are gonna have an awfully hard time digging their paymasters out of this one.

When you lay down with dogs, you get fleas.
Most Britons still haven't grasped the enormity of what's coming. In many ways, this is just the start. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Nothing about the way the UK has been run has been remotely sustainable. The whole deck of cards is gonna collapse around the Tories' ears.
And it really, really couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
