What is 5G?

5G is basically the "5th Generation broadband cellular network" that provides a data transfer speed of about 100 gigabytes per second, compared to 4G whose speed is about 100 megabytes per second. Scientists advocate for the launch of the 5G network because amongst

other reasons, as we advance in technology, there is the need for a faster data transfer system for the newly invented (and to be invented) equipment and machines requiring such speed for their operation, stuff like electric cars etc.

Is 5G radioactive and dangerous to Man?

No, it is not radioactive and falls in the category of "Non-Ionizing Radiation". The 5G network, as well as other already existing networks 4G, 3G etc are all "Radio Waves" which is the least powerful in the Electromagnetic Spectrum. In the Electromagnetic Spectrum, from least to

most powerful in terms of energy, there are the Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared, Ultraviolet rays, X-rays and Gamma rays. With Gamma Rays and X-rays being the only "Ionizing Radiation" electromagnetic waves.
Ionizing Radiation is the only type of radiation harmful to man

because it releases energy enough to cause damage to DNA, ionize atoms and at hundreds of metres distance away from the source, it still penetrates the human body.

Radio Waves which are at the bottom of the spectrum, even though they operate in the frequencies of Gigahertz,

they are still non-ionizing and not harmful to man.

Ultraviolet rays from the Sun which are even more powerful than Radio waves but less powerful than Gamma rays have not killed us yet, even with our continuous exposure.
