Unable to watch daily #coronavirus briefing @Folkhalsomynd live online today as I was helping an 81-yr-old who yelled at me as I cycled home from the shops. She'd strained her knee & couldn't walk unaided. (Thread)

She asked if I could prop her up and walk her home. I suggested she held on to my bike to avoid us getting too close. It took us 25 minutes to walk 200 metres.

As we were walking, another neighbour came out of the building with her zimmerframe for a walk in the sun.

This is just one snapshot of one Stockholm suburb. Evidence suggests many Swedes are following social distancing recommendations. But definitely not everyone.

Staying home if you're in a risk group isn't just about avoiding getting the virus, it's about other risks too. If you fall, it's less easy to call for help while resources are stretched.

Pretty sure my other elderly Swedish-speaking neighbours are not following this thread. But needed to get this message out!
