A more effective competitive response would to *increase* engagement with the WHO and other international institutions, and lead a multinational effort with allies & partners to diminish Beijing& #39;s influence and refocus the institution on its core mission.
Lastly, several other countries had the same information from the WHO, yet their response was far more effective because their governments reacted swiftly & decisively.
