Great Britain - Portugal U16 Women's European Championship 2019. Analysis in this thread.
Traditional Box score. Here having a quick look we can see two important factors: Rebounds and Turnovers. The difference in rebounds is huge, 64 (22 OR) for GB and just 34 for Portugal. And the turnovers for GB is so high too 41. This was key. We will analyse later deeply.
Top Performers. Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu.
Shot chart. GB in red. Portugal in green. Main difference GB don't use the mid range and not many threes. 44/55 (80%) were taken from the paint. Totally the opposite than Portugal who took 36/74 (48.65%) shots from the paint.
Moves that I like from this game.
1. F. Janneh. Rip low + Eurostep. Left step, right step and finish with right hand protecting as a rugby player.
2. Ella Doherty. Eurostep with contact and changing the speed.
3. A Andrews + P Martin. Pass from dribble with two p def + Eurostep.
It is important to analyse how GB lost the balls. Many turnovers. Principal reasons:

- Bad passes
- Not receiving after a good cut, fixing the defence, changing the speed
- Bad decisions

I don't think it is a problem about skills in the dribble.

How many teams in u16s press full court in National leagues? From my experience in u18s not many. Are the girls ready for this issue in European Tournament if they don't have experience doing this before during the season? It is something that we need to think.

Curiosity: Analysing the BLOB plays I was sure I saw this play before. I was right. Nottingham u18s play the same thing.
BLOB plays. Success rate 1/8 12,5%. They played two options in this game. First one to play with the center and the second one with cuts to the opposite sides. If we calculate the success counting good options instead of baskets, the success rate would be higher.
SLOB plays.
I have tried to find any play for offence, any system that they used in this game. The only thing they played more than once was high post situations. 4 open (corners and 45) and the center in the high post. From there cuts and screen off ball. Video.
Portugal had a bigger playbook. This is the play with the highest success rate in this game. Communication on defence is key to stop the last screen.
