Of all the metrics that are reported on, only one reveals whether or not the government policy and the adherence of the citizenry are having an effect. That metric is deceleration. # COVID19 (we write a daily report on this call The Deceleration Report)

This isn’t to say other metrics aren’t important. For example, in planning health care capacity and how and when to relocate capacity, then total numbers and velocity (rate of growth) are important. #COVID19
But the focus here is in understanding whether governments (at all levels) and individuals are doing enough to reverse the virus into decay and get people back to work as fast as possible.... CALLED Deceleration. #COVID19
How is deceleration measured? By looking at the change in velocity over a given time period. #COVID19

There are five countries we follow in the Deceleration Report - Italy, Spain, UK, US, Canada. #COVID19
Cases are doubling much more quickly in the #USACOVID19 , #UnitedKingdom , and #CanadaCovid19 than in #SpainCoronaVirus and #ItalyCoronavirus #COVID19
#CanadaCovid19 doubles every 6.5 days, a significant improvement from three weeks ago when Canada doubled every 2.5 days #COVID19
During 18 days March 20 -April 7, all countries have implemented some measures to decelerate the virus, all countries have made some progress w Italy making most progress when looking at both doubling-period + tenfold-growth period(the higher the number the slower is the virus)
#Canada has achieved the LEAST deceleration since March 20, ranking behind the #US for both the doubling-period and the tenfold-growth-period #COVID19
. #Italy is decelerating the virus twice as fast as #CanadaCovid19 (and three times as fast for the doubling-period), highlighting the difference between Italy’s lockdown and Canada’s social distancing guidelines during the 18 day period of March 20 to April 7 #COVID19
