Sweden has kept it's borders, schools, bars, restaurants, parks and shops open throughout COVID-19. Popular wisdom says by now all 10 million of them should be in desperate trouble, they're not. What's going on?

Sweden has taken the approach to only quarantine and protect the elderly and the frail, while allowing the young to continue mixing as normal. IOW they are protecting the vulnerable instead of quarantining the healthy
According to Swedish doctors, "the strategy in Sweden is to focus on social distancing among the known risk groups, like the elderly. They "try to use evidence-based measurments". The plan is "to implement measurements that you can practice for a long time".
Sweden's chief epidemologist says "You can't keep a lockdown going for months. We can't kill all our services. And unemployed people threat to public health. It's a factor you need to think about"
Sweden's intensive care unit admissions have been declining. Most people in ICU elderly, and 77% of these have heart, kidney & respiratory disease & diabetes
Popular wisdom says without a lockdown, Sweden's infections should be in multiples of 5 digits and deaths in the thousands. They're not.
With schools in Sweden still open, there haven't been any children infected. There have been only 25 corona hospital admissions of people under 30. That's in population of 10.1 million
There are 7700 infections in Sweden, many of them without any symptoms. Young people are spreading it just like seasonal flu, and developing antibodies which reduces chances of infecting the elderly and those with underlying conditions
Current corona virus deaths in Sweden are 59/million citizens. In 2018, the seasonal flu killed 80/million
Switzerland has a strict lockdown, a smaller population than Sweden but they've had 3 times the number of infections and more COVID-19 deaths.
Sweden has decided to ignore mass hysteria and apply solutions based on logic more than panic and it seems to be working relatively well. It seems the only way Sweden could implement a lockdown is by being pressurised by you-know-who.
