This thread is just to touch on things that an Independent Welsh army Should have in my OPINION.
The Welsh Army should be a small Army that has no interest in going to War along with other countries. Wales should keep an army for defence and rescue ops.

Infantry: The Standard Welsh infantry should be relitively modern. One of the problems of the British army is their main Weapon the L85 which is an awkward gun so instead of receiving our share of them after independence we should ask for the equivalent in money for them.

There are plenty of other options out there for a modern small military including German made MP5s used by the SAS and the HK family of rifles. Wales should use British military bases in Wales so that we cut the cost of having to build new ones. Also old abandoned warehouses...

option would be to buy light tanks from @generaldynamics who have a factory in South Wales. These light tanks could be outfitted with Anti-tank missiles to combat heavier Tanks and it would be cheaper than buying in MBTs from a country that exports theirs.
