I was listening to a podcast (Ep. 162 of Paint All The Minis) and someone said something interesting that I already knew, but never had words for:
"If you aren& #39;t mindful about how you spend your time, your time will be spent for you."
"If you aren& #39;t mindful about how you spend your time, your time will be spent for you."
This resonated with their discussion about electronic dependency and the idea of a loss of child-like tactile creativity (the discussion is far more interesting and deeper than that summary), but it made me think about how time is spent.
In a way, time spent on social media and the like can hardly be considered wasted, as many global interactions occur that expose people to other thoughts and talents that they otherwise would never encounter.
However, this also makes me think, and others have had this discussion, about how we tend to perform our hobbies for social consumption rather than for our own intellectual engagement, which blends into how our time is being spent for us.
It was just something I was thinking about.
By extension, who really cares how we spend our time, because it& #39;s really just a way to get through until we die, but instead of choosing to take a nihilistic approach to it, I think I& #39;ll try to think about my time a little better

I& #39;m also at work, so this thread is hardly a complete process
