I came of age in the most violent period in this country - The "Crack Era." A lot of young black men were killed and incarcerated. I know so many murder victims that I often forget about them until someone mentions their name or a relative. Did anyone force us to sell drugs? No.
I've heard these stories about railroad cars loaded with weapons abandoned in black neighborhoods flooding our community with guns to spark the killings. So you mean to tell me once armed we opted to kill each other rather than our oppressors?? The lies require more lies.
The crack laws targeted blacks we're told. Why not sell powder and let the addict cook their own crack? My cousin did Fed time for selling guns. He didn't get them from an abandoned railroad car. He had several Virginia driver's licenses he used to buy them for sales in NYC.
As far as Stop & Frisk I can't understand why people who don't commit crimes get stopped & frisked more than people who commit crimes. I grew up with criminals. Arch criminals. I'm fascinated by how much MORE people who don't commit crimes are concerned with policing procedures.
There's a trend in our community. A whole lot of EDUCATED people with no real PURPOSE or BUSINESS about themselves elect to be the spokespersons for the "downtrodden." This is much easier than building an economic infrastructure to help these people. That's what they really need.
The reason why "activism" is so popular is because it doesn't require shit but great speaking skills and people eager for you to articulate their demands. Naively, they think the more "sophisticated" it sounds, the greater the chance of success. Since when??
We got all these "lip professors" leading movements and running for office. Feeding desperate, delusional and gullible people WORD SALADS! For the lip professors this is about ego as much as it's about money. For their audience, it's about laziness and gullibility. Save yourself!
