ESTHER (The Uncrackable Nut)

1. My friend wedded, at it I met Esther, I thought I had found my missing rib. Her tall bodyframe was clearly outstanding across the small reception hall & her carriage spoke to me directly like the voice of an intimate friend "come & talk to me"
2. I misinterpreted her body language to mean "I need a man". In fact, in my head, I thought she was a carefully tended open heart that anticipates arrival of a man. But I was wrong! She detest men. "Men are cheats" she finally managed to tell me after 3months of long hard press.
3. Further probe availed that she had ugly experience back in the day in 2002 as an undergraduate at Uniben. Her then boyfriend broke her heart after all she sacrificed for him. Alas, she swore never to date a man again, talk less of marrying and has kept to her word till date.
4. She was polite & kind enough to release her contact to me in our brief exchange on that first day. She even went further to oblige my appeal to visit her in Lagos. There, at her shop in Ikeja, I was wowed by business capacity she wield & her ability to think fast on-the-go.
5. I went home that day buzzing & super optimistic that in no time I would convince her to forgive her past after all. But I failed. I'm still awestruck how such a rare gem who ought to be a huge blessing to whomever she considers her man is swimming in an ocean unforgivingness.
6. This is the fifth month, I have flown back & forth Lagos State without any chance of success. I'm worn out by her rigidity. I have applied all kinds of tactics to prove my point & make her change her mind, no way. On my last visit to her, she said she would do insemination...
7. Insemination? I asked aghast. What can a man offer me? She replied raising her eye brow. Nothing! She concluded, damning whatever I had in mind as I flip my tongue to object it. I failed to persuade her with several Bible citations backed with real time examples.I got home sad
8. What stuff is Esther made of?

Esther is well versed & a great conversationalist. She would give a man perfect blend of peace & serenity whch I desire most in a woman for my creativity & optimal performance at the job I do. Her calm demeanor & fast-thinking are unparalleled.
9. I'm on a mission to build Christian internet radio, online university, & software company that would raise 50 young people who are mentally reinforced to champion projects that solves challenges facing our immediate society. Esther would have been the most valuable addition.
10. I hope to shoot my last shot after this coro break. I look forward to persuading her that nobody is perfect, she should forgive her past, forgive menfolk, see the beauty in marriage. At the end of the day there's nothing like family, nothing like love btw a man & his woman.
11. The meat of this thread is the recent argument that this experience ensued amongst my friends on a round table over beer, where we raised fundamental question: "why would someone not be able to forgive his/her past?" This is to encourage you, the reader, to help us answer it.
