there's so much hate towards @ Hicc_LANA these days and I'm really mad about it so here's a little thread for our non-educated european and american friends

firstly — just stop. we're really tired. stop thinking that background of your country is the only right background and your social system is the only system that exists in the world. I'll tell you one simple thing: russians DON'T. SEPARATE. PEOPLE. LIKE THAT.

THAT'S HELLA DISRESPECTFUL. WE DON'T SEPARATE PEOPLE ON 'WHITES' AND 'NON-WHITES'. WE JUST DON'T. THAT'S ALL. PERIODT. IT'S NOT OUR HISTORY, NOT OUR CULTURAL BACKGROUND, DON'T JUDGE US BY THIS SYSTEM, OKAY?

we didn't have slavery based on skin color, we had slavery based on estates. we had aristocracy and peasantry, that's all. that's the reason why your system just doesn't work in russia, okay?

we don't have racism based on skin color, but we have racism based on nationalities. a girl or a boy can be for example a tatar (from Tatarstan republic) and has a quite light skin color, but still can face racism just because of their nationality.

and yes, here in russia people can be mocked for being non-slavic. they can be from any other republic in ru federation, the can look like people which you call 'white' in your countries, but STILL face racism. that's OUR system. OUR background. and it's not like yours.

secondly – we don't care about all of this in general. since ussr there's so much nationalities mixed in our republics and regions, that we just don't care. I'm russian by my passport, but it's just a place there i was born. i don't even know my real nationality, it's impossible.

many of us live like that, almost all of us live like that. we don't mock each other by skin color, because we didn't have that background in our history.

about lana, there's a simple thing too: she was born in asia. this part of russia there she was born – THAT'S LITERALLY ASIA. and she's a TATAR. TATARS ARE MONGOLOIDS. she literally LIVED NEAR JAPAN. stop talking shit, just stop, it's really disrespectful.

we have our own experience too. just please respect it. find some information in wikipedia. take a look at the google maps. take some geography lessons, i heard it helps.
