BAKING IS THERAPY

From the start of the Movement Control Order ( #MCO), I have spent many weekday afternoons with oven mitts and spatulas.

This is a thread.
1. I learned to bake delicious goodies such as gluten-free chocolate chip banana muffins, gluten-free lemony blueberry muffins and the latest, a sinful dozen of double chocolate muffins.
2. Most I am proud of is a batch of cinnamon rolls which I baked from scratch and took me two days to complete.
3. Baking is truly therapeutic. Hours go by without me realising just how long I have spent kneading, sifting and mixing in the kitchen.
4. The outcome of a successful bake provides me with the badge of achievement that I so crave being a full-time homemaker.
5. As I am currently reading the last of Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I Loved Before series, I noticed that I share many of same qualities of the main character, Lara Jean.
6. Like Lara Jean, I am an introverted homebody who is close to her family, loves to read and write, lives in her own head a lot, a hopeless romantic, hates to drive and indulges in baking as therapy.
7. It’s quite nice to see myself in a character in a book, and realise that there’s a lot of things that I do like about me, and there are a lot things that I need to consistently do in order to bring out the best in me: reading, writing & baking.
