Errybody keeps talking about how if Ineffable Husbands were switched (A =
, C =
) youâd have a sensitive and soft Crowley and a somewhat feral Aziraphale but I DISAGREE

I think Crowley would still attempt to be very cool and slick, always changing with the times, and his way of doing good deeds would still be just as chaotic as the way he does bad/annoying ones in canon. Heâd be a very chaotic good whoâs constantly reprimanded by the Archs to be
- more subtle, but does that bother Crowley? No. Heâs too cool for that. Heâd also learn very quickly that when left to their own devices, humans will do just as much good as they do bad, so he takes the credit for their genuine goodness which allows him to do whatever he wants
Which usually involves driving round town like a fucking G and Making It Rain (literally)
Meanwhile Aziraphale would be this highly intelligent but lazy motherfucker of a demon who still dislikes getting his hands dirty

He doesnât get along with his superiors either nor are his efforts to âfoment discordâ always effective, so the Dukes of Hell see him as incompetent and troublesome but he continues trying, sure
The demonic thing about Angel!Crowley is his self-interest and disregard for responsibility or authority even if he is a high-ranking heavenly being
The angelic thing about Demon!Aziraphale is his ability to relate to humanity/ find value in the little things that make up life

Aziraphale would use the bookshop as a front to manipulate people into following their vices (planting Doubt and Greed and stuff into their minds) but he also canât help but talk to them about their lives, and he realises that people
often do bad things when theyâre hurt, scared, or angry, and that makes him more and more reluctant to deliver their souls to Hell
The Arrangement in this instance is formed because Crowley is frustrated that even with opportunities to do good, some humans still do otherwise and
The Arrangement in this instance is formed because Crowley is frustrated that even with opportunities to do good, some humans still do otherwise and
get away with it without punishment, while Aziraphale finds that some humans donât know any better and donât deserve to go to Hell, so they spend like 6000 years running around trying to save the people they were meant to bless/damn in this endless cycle
I think Angel!Crowley would fall for this version of Azi because for the first time, heâs proven wrong, and not in the humiliating way that another angel would prove him wrong. Aziraphale proves to Crowley, without meaning to, that the concept of âgoodâ isnât all that clear-cut.
And Demon!Azi would fall for Crowley because for the first time, hereâs an angel who likes to have fun, who breaks rules from time to time without losing the core goodness of who they are, and he learns that goodness can be self-defined outside the influence of heaven/hell
Meanwhile on the outside Crowley presents as the handsome philanthropic douchebag rolling around London in his smooth ride
And Aziraphale presents as physically harmless and unassuming but secretly insidious, sly and manipulative

and yes they definitely would fuck sooner in this version of things
