If you just lost your job, or are about to, as a result of the global pandemic,

Here are

5 THINGS YOU NEED TO DO TO SURVIVE AND CREATE A RICH FUTURE.

If you are reading this at this time, you are probably not in your office as it is closed.
There is a lot of uncertainty. No one really knows what will happen next.

Already, some jobs have been lost.

The United States Bureau of Labour said over 10 million Americans already applied for unemployment insurance

Over 700,000 jobs were lost within the last two weeks alone
I combed the internet for statistics for Nigerians, and I hardly found details.

But here are the few things I found:

The International Air Transport Association has said that the aviation industry will lose =N=160.58bn ($434m) and there will be 22,000 job cuts.
We hardly have data in Nigeria so it is pretty hard to predict what the figures stand at or what they will be at the end of this pandemic,

But one thing is certain:

There will be job losses.

And a lot of it.

This piece is not to sound the doom alarm.

No
By all means, while some industries are cutting jobs, some others are gaining them.

And example is Amazon, who announced that they were looking to employ 100,000 new staff to meet up with demand.

The online businesses are thriving as well.

Online video gaming has reached an
All time high.

There were over 1.2billion video game downloads last week.

Companies like Zoom are experience massive usage as people can't meet physically.

This means that there is light even in the midst of this darkness.

But this thread is to help you, if you have just
lost your job, or will likely lose your job soon.

I will be sharing five things that can help you through this period.

1. Talk to someone you love and who loves you about it.

Losing your job can be depressing, especially if you were the bread winner of your family.
Talking to someone helps take the weight of the disappointment off your heart and gives you hope.

2. Start trying out new things (even if they are not business related)

You have probably spent several years doing the same thing and living in a relative state of comfort.
You may struggle with taking the necessary risks you need to launch out again.

Rewire your brain by trying out new skills, like learning how to play a musical instrument or how to speak a new language.

This will inspire a desire to learn again
3. Start learning and developing new business skills.

You are probably thinking of starting a business. You need some skills.

Good news is, you have probably developed some vital skills where you previously worked.

You just need to master how business men think.
4. Look to people who have gone through similar experiences and conquered.

Do what they did.

And there are many such people.

Read up their stories.

Buy their books.

If you know them personally, reach out to them for advice.

Do what they did.
5. Stop living in the past.

The earlier you accept what has happened, the better and faster you will recover and chart a new course.

Don't sit back to think of how life was good.

It's gone.

You can create something better and more rewarding.
I should add a lady point.

6. Start an online business.

There is not better time to do that than now.

The world is 'at home.'

And their eyes are on the internet.

You can start a multimillion naira online business that you can run all from your home.
The truth is that it will require time and dedication.

But if you give yourself to it and treat it LIKE A BUSINESS, in six months you will make so much money you will regret not starting earlier.

So start.

There are several businesses you can start.
Which of these online businesses do you prefer to learn and start?

1. Copywriting freelancing

2. Information marketing

3. Online consulting

4. Coaching and mentoring

5. Digital marketing
Remember this could just be that opportunity to create the future you always wanted.

Don't let it slip.

Don't panic.

Use this time to design your future.
