The poorest among us have few resources
They are packed together like sardines
Millions have no shelter at all
The cost of living has gone up for them but they will get no check to cover it 1/7

Thousands in the streets will die of starvation before they will die from the virus
No one will notice that though
It's far too sad to look at for people who feel pity
But if you ignore it you aren't showing pity
You are being cruel 2/7

The poor always suffer at the hands of the rich and the ones who have a little something and want to keep it
Everyone is worried about moving up that ladder of society
We have reached a crisis for all humanity
Overpopulation is real
The climate crisis is real 3/7

The fact that AI is replacing us as we work at more menial jobs for longer hours and less pay is real
We have reached a point where we either do something about it or face the CERTAIN extinction of the species
These problems are all obvious but we don't face them 4/7

When this virus has run it's course there will be mass unemployment and immense poverty where there was already under-employment and poverty
But I see a country that will not embrace the very socialism it uses to get through this crisis 5/7

It's not going to change
I offer no solutions, because there are none
Democracy is a failed idea & we have a sham democracy at best anyway
Large numbers of humans can't make good decisions
They never have
We were finished before we even began to try in earnest as a species 6/7

"There is no will and there is no wisdom."
