Prof Stan Perlman, immunologist at Uof Iowa & expert on previous coronavirus, says the link to Wuhan wet market is coincidental “Cannot Be Ruled Out” BUT that Possibility “Seems Less Likely” because Genetic Material of #COVID19 Had Been Found in the Market https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/08/how-did-coronavirus-start-and-where-did-it-come-from-was-it-really-wuhans-animal-market?CMP=twt_gu&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=&__twitter_impression=true
April 8, 2020 Perlman told Guardian Australia he does believe there was an intermediary animal BUT adds that while pangolins are possible candidates, they “Are Not Proven to be the key intermediary”.
Perlman says,“I suspect that any evolution [of the virus] occurred in the intermediate animal If There Was One. There has been No Substantial Changes in the Virus in the three months of the pandemic, Indicating that the Virus Is Well Adapted to Humans.
❓My Question as a lay person: This is open ended enough as a hint by Prof Perlman for us to wondered if this virus was a genetically modified in a BioLab and planted in the Wet Market? #COVID19
