I am on my way to work at mid-morning sometime in January this year. Just after Safcom main offices in westlands driving at about 45km/h I notice the car in front is moving in some kind of way. I slow down because I couldn& #39;t overtake as there was another car on my right.

So I move to overtake and look through the other car& #39;s window a d I see a lady in distress and obviously in distress. Clearly she was crying. I hoot and signal her to try and park,at this time we are almost at the sarit stage just after the lions place. I park and she does too.
I get out of the car and walk to her car. By this time she is crying all out but her windows are still up. I knocked and after a while she draws down her driver& #39;s side window. I say "I& #39;m sorry ma& #39;am, is there anyone we should call" I felt this was a safe approach not to play
But she also didn& #39;t want to alarm her.i ask "maybe your friend or partner someoneto take you home?". She looks like she& #39;s trying to process a list in her head but nothing is popping up. So I tell her I think she should call her sister it& #39;s better not to be alone. She
Straightened up and tried to look as normal and said then she should do it once she& #39;s home. I asked if she could drive(against my better judgement). Again her eyes fill up and I say it& #39;s okay she doesn& #39;t need to feel bad about calling her sister. I manage to convince her to
Make the call. She couldn& #39;t talk so I motioned to speak to the sister and she let& #39;s me. I tell her sister that I think there& #39;s something overwhelming her sister and she& #39;s very emotional and looks disturbed but has not caused any accidents or injuries to herself or anyone.
All this time she& #39;s quite and I felt guilty I perhaps would have conveyed the message better. I can tell she& #39;s struggling with tears as well over the phone. She asks exactly where we are and who I am. I explain how we came to stop at the bus stop . She& #39;s grateful but also very
sceptical. She requests that I wait for her to come from the office. I stand just by the driver& #39;s door and wait. Then it hit after a couple of minutes I never asked for her name and I still had her phone in my hand. As I hand it back , I ask with a consolation
"All be well. She& #39;s coming, what& #39;s your name? She replies........... she& #39;s now calm and the sun is shining again on her face. I think to myself this is good at least her sister won& #39;t find her in such a devastating state. She asks " where were you going? I answer "I was going to
work"
"Won& #39;t you get into trouble for the amount of time you have spent here?"
I tell her no I won& #39;t. Then an awkward silence ensued because we were both trying hard not to get personal. So I ask also were you on your way to work? She answers yes.

I don& #39;t know what else to say and she says" I won& #39;t get into trouble at work but I sure will with my sister". I tell her I am also afraid of the voice I heard over the phone. We both laugh. She assured me that I& #39;ll be fine. I look at my watch and notice it& #39;s been almost an hour
Since we made the stop. Just then her sister arrived in a cab. She comes over and straight goes into her sister& #39;s car on the passenger& #39;s side and they hug and cry. I think I should run to my car and leave, they& #39;ll be fine together but my legs refuse to move.
A moment and then the sister came out of the car and hugged me. She told me her sister had not recovered from their dad& #39;s passing in dec the previous month. She told me he was their best person who had raised them alone after the mother passed away in 2003.
They lived together and it was their first day back to work without their dad.The other girl also stepped out of her car for the 1st time and embraced me and we all embraced. Then I excused myself and said I needed to get to work. They gave me their card which I misplaced.
