My generation was brought up on so much 10-40 year old content: Champion the Wonder Horse, Flash Gordon serials, Camberwick Green, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Laurel & Hardy, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, Thunderbirds, The Munsters. Is it the same now?
Not to mention that many incredible, early evening, black & white film seasons they had on BBC2: Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes, 1950s sci-fi and Ray Harryhausen monster films, Hitchcock thrillers, etc.
