I don't think people need to agree on all points in order to get along. However if you do decide to wade in on a topic, please first of all consider:

- If it is coming from a place of knowledge
- Your motivation and your privilege
- If it is coming from a place of knowledge

Being a devil's advocate for your own amusement? Boring and unnecessary.
Offering an opinion without full knowledge and context? A waste of everyone's time.
Littering your comment with buzzwords and being unnecessarily verbose in order to sound more convincing? It isn't working. Everyone can see through what you're trying to do.
Trying to make something about you when it isn't? Tedious and sad.
I think it is important to be open minded, and I'm always willing to be convinced by rational argument and facts. But when someone throws their two cents in without checking if a) it's actually money or b) knowing what they're talking about, that just sucks for everyone. Stop.
