First, let's focus only on P5 h&h opportunities. Neutrals can be lifelines, but schools are not in as much control over them, and they typically aren't set this far in advance. That, plus don't we all want as many games at the #GreatestSetting as possible?

Say UW goes w/ a neutral in 2022, can they bundle a 2023 road game to get a home game in 2026? Not really. It's a similar set of options as 2022-2023, w/ no perfect matches.

Now the only danger to this for me is that with the road game and home game separated by 7 years, there's always the risk that the opponent could bail on the return game. Perhaps a larger buyout could be negotiated as protection.

Let's get past the Ohio State series. How about the two years immediately following it. At present, the list of perfect fits is small, consisting of 2 teams (really 1, b/c Iowa State hasn't booked Iowa yet..and they will).

UW could continue their journey through the B1G East by booking the one clear option there in Indiana. Once the quality of program who UW coaxed into a buy game (2003), IU has gotten a lot better in recent years...they would be no pushover.

If not Indiana, UW could try longer-shot options. There are 5 SECs who would fit if they'd be 10 P5 willing. The non-SECs on the graphic would be tougher, so I'm not listing them.

The list does grow if removing assumptions, but from here on out I won't pass on the "so you're telling me there's a chance" matches. Until LSU, Auburn and Texas A&M go the way of Alabama, Georgia & Florida w/ 2 P5 willingness, this is the prudent route.
