I wish to become scientist.
I applied for summer research fellowship every year in my undergraduate course.
I haven't got selected even once.
The sad thing to me is that I didn't know what the reason was for not selecting me (1/7) @AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter

How I can know if they don't inform me whether it was my grades, write-up, achievements, college I am studying, or something else the reason for not selecting me to these fellowships. If I don't know the mistake or reason that I was doing, how can I improve it?

Waiting for the application link to open, applying it as soon as I can, then waiting for the result, hoping that I will be selected. What I got in the end is nothing. After all this time, was it that I even don't deserve the reason for my rejection?

It hurts, really hurts a lot. I am desperate to have an experience of doing research. I tried by applying to 6 research fellowships in 3 years. I want to know whether I will be good at research or not.

Whether research should be my career or not. I think fellowships procedures need reforms and that reforms are getting neglected, that will effect a lot of people who are interested in Sciences loosing hope. (5/7)
That's what I am feeling now. Loosing hope.
I am the person, who is interested in science and doing science, wanted to contribute something to science. But I don't know that whether I can make research as my career anymore. (6/7)

My interest in Sciences keeps making me to apply the research fellowships even after getting rejected one after another. I don't know whether there is another person who has gone through this type of similar situations, and achieved research as career!
