When Swizz first posted the postponed message and said it was about quality, I was like ok, I can see them moving to another platform if it’s to elevate the fan experience.
But then I heard TEDDY’S bullsh*t...

I a. Wasn’t surprised (I tweeted surprise when he said he was even battling Face and asked if he realized he’d have to do it on IG live), b. Knew immediately that he was missing the point bc he missed the point with his own live stream concert...

... it was over-produced (all his shows are) mad ppl, the exact OPPOSITE of what these moments are supposed to be about. The whole point is for it to feel organic and casual.
I ALSO realized he’d not bothered to see what Verzuz was really about...

... talmbout “I’m not just gonna go back and forth with Babyface, we need mediators.” The WHOLE POINT is to just go back and forth.
Anyway, Swizz is 100% right. This is about energy, it’s about nostalgia, it’s about the fans - and the peers! They enjoy it, too!
