Ariana Grande does NOT blackfish, a thread !
first of all, she has consistently been the same skin tone as the rest of her family. they have all appeared with a tan skintone with an olive undertone.
"her skintone matches nicki's"
comparing a white person who already has a tan skintone to a lightskin person mixed with asian/black/hispanic who also has days of looking super light/tan makes ZERO sense. nicki looks light compared to other white people so why only blame ariana
this one has very recently came up and its just as stupid. ariana has posted a picture of her natural curly hair and for whatever reason people think its not natural. ariana has had curly hair since she was a baby
"ariana fakes having a blackcent"
this blew up after she said "juice" a certain way at her billboard woman of the year interview which blew my mind. you can watch any interview of her and she speaks in a pretty spaced out, slightly raspy and chilled voice
the infamous photoshopped 2016 AMA pictures that people love using is what pretty much blew this whole thing out of proportion. ariana clearly has a light natural looking tan and even her olive undertone is showing through. people also photoshopped early photos of her to be pale
"She wasnt this dark in her Victorious days!" she actually wasnt! in fact she was much lighter because had to wear lighter foundation. The tweet below is from 2011. Even then she was still tan compared to her co-stars on the show
Ariana's name being dragged into Bhad Bhabie actually blackfishing. Pictures are from @neckroII on IG. Ariana has not used a fake unnatural accent to appear more ethnic, never wore cornrows, or said n*gga. She prides herself A LOT on her Italian heritage
"7 Rings stole from black artists" no it did not. The fact that 8 rappers have came to slander or even sue ariana for using a well known beat is ridiculous. you CANNOT claim a scotch snap beat. This type of beat has been used for DECADES in all genres of music
7 rings tattoo drama: ariana did not exploit japanese culture with this tattoo. she has been studying japanese since 2012 and has respected their culture for a long while. She got the tattoo on her palm and since it hurt, she had to cut off a character to stop the pain (1/3)
she knew how to say "7 rings" in japanese and even her tutor, ayumi, taught her how to say it. she didnt get a mistranslated tattoo because she didnt know and just wanted the aesthetic, its mistranslated because of a reasonable excuse. (2/3)
The fact that she was fluent enough in Japanese to make a logical way of shortening the tattoo without losing too much meaning actually shows that she knows her shit. Anyone who actually speaks japanese would know that the error wasnt that big and knew what she meant (3/3)
ik the japanese part wasnt considered blackfishing but i threw it in the thread because it was another cultural appropriation allegation
i would also like to add how this photo seems to be used a lot to prove how "pale she was" but you can clearly see how overexposed and edited the picture is by comparing the backgrounds. you can barely see the audi logo because of how ridiculously brightened the image is
i'll continue updating the thread however ima need yall to follow my acc since its new and i plan on making more threads !
since yall are being annoying already and this is only hour 8 of my thread, im just gonna debunk your arguments you give me into this thread as well, if you arent gonna give me a nice discussion and just argue with me using bias, im gonna block you
again with this over edited photo. you can literally use GOOGLE and type in "ariana 2016 amas" and none of the pictures look as dark to the images yall stay using for this argument
that picture was from 2011. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE
also nowhere in this tweet did i discredit nicki being black. i straight up said in the tweet that "she can also appear super light / super tan". this tweet was meant to show that black and white people can have skin tones that overlap. i myself am lightskin, i would know
alright im about to mute this thread and stop responding to it. i literally just opened my dms and saw over 10 people try arguing with me and calling me disgusting things or straight up telling me to kill myself. im willing to have a discussion about this, just be CIVIL.
and i'm not gonna act like ariana has never once had a bad tan, i personally think whoever tanned her for the week of the breathin/thank u, nect music video did WAY too much. but just because she had a couple slip ups, means she is trying to fool us that shes black
( ty @doabwhr for these ) here are some pictures of ariana as a child. she clearly hasnt/wouldnt be allowed to use fake tanning at this age so its definitely proven that she can naturally be a tan girl. shes not a strictly pale girl. shes been pale sometimes but thats rare
the "thank u, next" music video tan: the video was darkened and made EVERYONE look more tan. while i personally think whoever filtered the video was distasteful with how they balanced the colors, it wasnt ariana's fault ( thank u @Marcoxfenty for the pictures )
another tweet to counterargue i guess. i have made FIFTEEN different reasons (very sound and factual too) as to why she isnt blackfishing. you cannot indirectly call me obsessed with this when your twitter name is "ariana grande is white". get a grip
i'll let you guys explain this one for me since i legitimately am dumbfounded by this
ACTUAL blackfishing vs not blackfishing
im so so so so ignorant for this one sorry barbz, i meant trinidadi not hispanic. also i know nicki also gets to be a dark tan as well, i just wanted to point out that black people can have similar skin tones to white people
now i know you guys are trying your HARDEST to reach to make it seem like shes paper white. SCALP is normally WHITE. the last picture is someone with alopecia (made my example easier) and you can clearly see where he has hair, his scalp is WHITE
suddenly the 2016 amas pic doesnt look bad when you realize *shes always been tan*
lemme revisit this and add a few more photos
lemme add more here. her dad is dark as hell compared to her
Okay im gonna revisit this thread and give a bunch more little facts because locals are getting annoying again. let me start off by tracing back ariana grande's lineage and bringing up some reciepts
According to Christopher Robinn, someone who holds a Bachelors degree on Ethnic Studies from York University, he says that Ariana Grande "...is of Italian descent. To be more specific, she’s half Sicilian and half Abruzzes".
Southern Italy was originally occupied by North Africans, Arabians, Turkish, Moores and Persian people, amongst other ethnicities and races. Those people had children with white people for generations which resulted in their children being heavily mixed / racially ambiguous.
These photos below show the type of skin tones in Southern Italy at that time. Due to the fact that Ariana Grande is confirmed to be of mainly Southern Italian descent (along with greek and north african), it makes PERFECT sense as to why her skin tone can be very tan
This is even more evident when you look at her father, someone who is can be seen being easily darker than Ariana herself.
Due to Ariana being heavily mixed with other cultures, she would be considered a person of color in a lot of countries. However in American/English speaking societies, our standard on who is a person of colour changes a lot
Due to Native America being stolen by the British/White Europeans and also due to the fact that said Europeans have taken Africans against their wills as slaves AS WELL as driving out native hispanic/latinx people from the southern part of North America (cont)
people of mainly european descent have A LOT more privilege than those who are of the ethnicities/races that have been taken advantage of by Europeans ever since Native America was colonized. Since Italians were not notably taken advantage of in AMERICAN (cont)
history, we tend to consider ALL Italians to be white and not people of color. A lot of people can reasonably left to wonder as to "Why is this woman, who benefits from white privilege, being able to have a much tanner skin tone than most white people" (cont)
due to that cultural difference.

The fact that not every European country is extremely white and not mixed with other ethnicities is not talked about much in our education system due to the historical reasons I gave above.
I hope this isnt too confusing but i felt like this added bit of information / my added insights are able to help yall understand a lot more.
anyways more ammunition
heres some photos of her in that lacy bra with the white pants yall be using..... its crickets when you find pictures of her at the same event under normal lighting. stop purposely ignoring shit to further push yall narrative
here's another edited photo yall use. here's the 2018 iheart radio wango tango performance. tell me how she went from tan to light within less than 4 hours. quickly
this thread is waking back up again 😭 also y’all dragging me in the quote saying “aye you really ain’t got nothin better to do ??” realize most of us are bored in quarantine and i made this in like an hour when i was bored 💀
