Kiricentric Kirbaku WRITER/Social Media AU
CW: self esteem issues, serious depression, minor suicidal thoughts.
In which I'm going to unhealthily project onto fictional characters because I'm sad, have no ability to deal with my problems, and quarantine has officially bent me so badly idk if I can smooth this bullshit out. HERE WE GOOOOOO
It's not that Kirishima is an actual writer or anything. He dabbles in the occasional fan-fiction, and he's tried his hand at writing- it's just- he knows he's not good enough compared to the hundreds of things he's read. Still, he loves to do it.
He loves making other people feel something- and he loves that his words despite his lack of vocabulary, or halfhearted descriptions can do that. He loves when he gets comments that say “you made me cry.” or “you're one of my favorite authors.”
He feels like he's done something great, monumental. He always thanks them in as many words as he can. He wants the people who took the time to read what he wrote to feel appreciated. He wants them to know that it means the world to him.
It makes him feel like maybe...maybe he's actually better at this then he thought.
So he does what any enthusiastic writer does- he joins a social media platform in hopes to expand his reach. He wants to interact with some of the amazingly talented people he's read things from.
It would be amazing if he could talk to people like GR0UNDZER0 and SHOUTO and DEMANDENKZ. They have followers in the thousands and Eijiro cant help but think- maybe if he gets those numbers- maybe they'll acknowledge him too!
Maybe he can tell GR0UNDZER0 how much he loves his hero Explosion Murder- and how he's the manliest man in his series. He'd tell him he was so in love with the character most people simply don't compare. He knows E.M is just a character, and he loves people!
It's just...Eijirou knows he's not the best at picking them. He always ends up getting hurt.
But that doesn't matter! What matters is he makes himself NOTICED. He's not sure he understands how this thread thing works- but he knows staring at the screen isn't going to make it happen. So he just...starts typing.
