Alright tweeps, I’m feeling singularly low about this coming Easter weekend. It simply doesn’t feel Easter-y with zero possibility of attending Mass for any of the triduum. Every year that I’ve had kids I’ve planned outfits, sewn dresses and bonnets and a matching bow tie, etc.
All the clothing stuff is shallow, I know, but it was part of how I observed the feast. This year I’ve got nothing. They’ll wear what they wore last year. I’ll wear... something. We have candy and a ham. We’ll watch a nice Mass. But I’m a bit sad about it all.
How are you fellow Catholic parents trying to bring Easter into your homes this year? Give me some ideas. Not Kendra Tierney-level ideas because I don’t have that kind of energy, but something.
