I’m thinking of bitter Maglor again. Let’s talk about why he didn’t write a lament for his fathers death.

I wanna talk about Maglor who grows to hate Fëanáro. Who lets resentment and fear bubble in his heart. Who blames Fëanáro for everything. Who deflects his own guilt into his father. Maglor who doesn’t find himself crying as Fëanor turns to smoke.

I’m listening to the first verse of Requiem from DEH and it got me thinking.

“Why should I play the grieving girl and lie
