2,000 American died today alone.
400,000 reported cases in the US.

The US mortality rate is now 3.2%. At 1,000 deaths it was at 1.5% and has been steadily rising. The mortality rate of the 1918 flu was 2.5%. For the flu is it <0.1%

Two important trends are continuing:

1/3
Trend 1: the US accounts for a higher proportion of worldwide cases and deaths each day.

* US now accounts for 15.7% of all deaths, up from 9% one week ago.
* US accounts for 28% of all worldwide cases, up from 25% 2 days ago.

We make up 4.2% of the world population.

2/3
Trend 2: New York accounts for a shrinking proportion of US cases and deaths, as other hot spots develop - but OVERALL NUMBERS ARE STILL INCREASING!

* NY accounts for 31% of new cases, down from half.
* NY accounts for 37%, ""

9 states reported 1,000+ news cases today.

3/3
Finally, I want to repeat, aggressive action is needed. As Fauci said, we do NOT have this virus under control! Even if flattening in NY, that took a month to happen - it is just starting in several other states. A national lockdown is needed to avoid more unnecessary deaths!
