You need to pay attention to the suffering that is happening now and will happen more before this is over. Pay attention to the distributional, racial, geographic, class patterns of that suffering.>>
think of how immediate and long-term solutions will remedy that suffering and ensure that no one suffers the same way again. If you’re confused, look to labor unions and how they are responding and what they are proposing as solutions. >>
Then, only then, think about how those solutions can also be used to reduce GHGs, mitigate climate change, and enhance our resiliency- our capacity to adapt to change while minimizing unjust suffering. >>
That is how you can shape a green stimulus.
