Refinitiv clients in China who want to read a Reuters story on Trump criticising the WHO as being too China-centric will see this message (or some version of this)

There have been an increasing number of coronavirus-related stories getting blocked from Refinitiv terminals for users who are recognized as based in mainland China, generally stories that portray China's leadership in a negative light

Refinitiv is a Reuters News client and it's their prerogative, ultimately, to decide who gets to see what. Reuters has reported several times the pressure from Chinese authorities on Refinitiv to censor undesirable content from screens of Eikon users in the mainland.

Reuters cannot force the client to change its practices, however, especially when the threat of losing their business license looms for non-compliance.
