I just got off a zoom meeting with several mental health professionals. The goal of the meeting was to record a panel of experts giving advice to my students on how to cope with the current #COVID situation.
I have to say that the session was so helpful I was taking notes for myself. I wanted to share some of their key points:
Do the next thing. (When you’re feeling overwhelmed and are focused on ALL the things.)
There’s no reason to abandon your plans. (They’ll just be delayed.)

Instead of thinking “What if (insert bad thing) happens?” think “What if it’s all okay?”
Have a self-care buddy who can tap you out when you’re focusing too much on negative things.
