I just got off a zoom meeting with several mental health professionals. The goal of the meeting was to record a panel of experts giving advice to my students on how to cope with the current #COVID situation. ⬇️⬇️
I have to say that the session was so helpful I was taking notes for myself. I wanted to share some of their key points: ⬇️⬇️
🤍 Do the next thing. (When you’re feeling overwhelmed and are focused on ALL the things.)
🤍There’s no reason to abandon your plans. (They’ll just be delayed.)
⬇️⬇️
🤍Instead of thinking “What if (insert bad thing) happens?” think “What if it’s all okay?”
🤍Have a self-care buddy who can tap you out when you’re focusing too much on negative things.
🤍Look for something beautiful.
