We have to realize that we won't be able to just "open up the economy and go back to normal" come May. We also have to realize this will be the case until there is a vaccine. The alternative is to have everyone shelter in place until there is a vaccine in 12-18 months?
This is the simpleton mindset Trumpism has reduced everyone too it seems. Trump himself says as much. It's either "all go back to normal!" or just dream about a miracle cure/vaccine coming any day now.

Neither of those are a PLAN

We all need to be thinking about what's next
What's next is we need to find a balance between the two:

1) What do we need to do going forward to keep the virus in check (social distancing, testing, etc)
2) how can we "re-open" certain things in a way to re-open the economy that doesn't harm #1

we need that plan ASAP
This will all become clear come May, but we will have wasted time that could have been spent planning that.

Yes, the current crisis is the peak hitting the next 1-2 weeks. We can't lose sight of that and do everything we can to stay home and lower the burden on our health care
But we have to start getting ready and planning what we, as a country, will look like until there is a vaccine

-in order to go to the concerts do you need to get your temperature taken?
-is there a max capacity for them depending on state?

these are just basic ideas
Sports do not NEED to be played in front of 80,000 people. Would we have them play in front of no fans at 1st? only 10k people? 20k?

These questions are what we need to be asking now and be ready to deal w/ until there is a vaccine. But it is better than waiting 18mo inside
