…voters DO have reasons to distrust people like Sanders. Like a long, long, loooong history of being lied to, manipulated, and ultimately thrown under the bus, by Utopian left-wing idealist white (or white passing) men who make grandiose promises.

It's a MASSIVE fucking mistake to just ASSUME Black voters support Biden because they like the establishment, or dislike leftist policies, or are "sell-outs". It's most likely a question of tempered expectations and distrust of government and politicians IN GENERAL.

Honestly, I distrust Sanders too. It's been a long time since I transitioned, and I've learned it's very easy for a privileged politician to TALK big about all the nice things he WOULD do, from a losing position. But what COUNTS is what actually fucking HAPPENS, materially.

That doesn't mean I support Biden. But it's a MASSIVE part of why I preferred Warren to Sanders.
