As most of you probably know, I am a Wisconsinite. I love my weird, wonderful little state so much.

I also know my state has a terrible history of gerrymandering and voter suppression.

Today has been...a lot.
I’ve been really angry, mostly. This now iconic photo from @journalsentinel intern @Pmcknightnews really sums up so much. https://twitter.com/donmoyn/status/1247581715511627776
But, though I will always believe no one should’ve been forced to risk their safety to vote today, I’ve been looking for the helpers, as Mr. Rogers would say. Helpers like this woman: https://twitter.com/mattsmith_news/status/1247630779221409792
Helpers like the person who left out free masks at one Milwaukee voting location: https://twitter.com/aaron_maybin/status/1247550743638421504?s=21 https://twitter.com/aaron_maybin/status/1247550743638421504
Helpers like Esther, who bought pizza from a local Milwaukee restaurant to be passed out as people waited in line to vote:

I’ve been so proud of everyone who demanded their vote count, even if it should’ve never come to this extreme. I’m praying they all stay healthy.
