Premier @jkenney just noted in his televised address that Alberta has a much lower rate of people hospitalized and in ICU due to COVID-19 than other large provinces.

He's right.

The difference is quite stark, compared to Ontario, Quebec & B.C.:

a couple of days, by this measure):
Another issue, though, is that Alberta's early cases happened to be among younger people.

In the past two weeks, older people have made up a greater share of those infected, perhaps increasing the likelihood of more hospitalizations down the road:
