NEW story: In comments from late Feb. and March, Kayleigh McEnany repeatedly downplayed the coronavirus threat.

Saying Trump had it "under control,” and “we will not see diseases like the coronavirus come here,” and there wouldn’t be a recession.

In other comments McEnany said Democrats and the media were rooting for the virus to take hold and the economy to tank.

McEnany on March 11th, when confronted with Fauci saying there should be no large crowds and Trump was still saying there'd be rallies.
