Betty Mae Page was born in 1923 and died as recently as 2008. She was an extremely kind child and in high school extremely popular, winning homecoming queen and being the object of affection for a lot of men. She graduated in 1941 and fell in love with Hollywood, as most did in

She was arrested and sent to a state hospital where she was diagnosed with paranoia schizophrenia. I would like to make a disclaimer that many people with this mental illness are not violent and there were other factors in Bettie's life that lead to events I will mention.

After she was released, her ex husband took her in again. Bad judgement call because a few weeks later the police had to come AGAIN because Bettie kept screaming as she ripped photos off walls and broke lamps and vases and would not calm down. She was arrested and put in the back

of a cop car. What happened?

The cops went to go talk to the ex husband and children and then when they came back, Bettie was in the back of the cop car with her dress over her head and masturbating with a coat hanger and it is said she was moaning about the retribution and Jesus Christ.

She was found not guilty by reasons of insanity and admitted to the hospital once again. As the years came and went, this pattern of behaviour continued. In the mid to late 80's, something happened that would be the plot of a movie I think. Bettie Page got away with murder.

She decided to go back to Los Angeles. She went through many homes and many landlords and many arrests and once again she was in and out of the hospital until she ended up living with an elderly lady. One night, Bettie ***ALLEGEDLY DO NOT SUE ME*** crept into the bedroom of the

landlady as she was asleep, crawled on top of her, straddled her, and woke her up to say "the retribution" quietly. She laughed and said "god has inspired me to kill you" before she was revealed to have an 8inch knife. She sliced open both the woman's hands, stabbed her 8 times

She pleaded insanity and because the landlady had no living relatives no one argued with the verdict. She was sentenced to eight years in a state hospital but managed to lessen the sentence and spent six months in a hospital. She was on constant suicide watch until her death.

Bettie Page died in 2008 and went down in history as the most influential BDSM and pinup model of her time. The end.
