As a service to students and the greater good, if your institution is considering a contract with Turnitin or any remote proctoring software company, I will gladly take a meeting with your Provost, President, Head of Distance Learning, or whomever to tell them, “no,” and why.
Someone asked about alternatives for ensuring "academic integrity." First, I'll say that I'm not a fan of how that phrase has been twisted and used against students. Surveillance software is not a solution. Creating a culture of suspicion does not encourage "academic integrity."
