As a service to students and the greater good, if your institution is considering a contract with Turnitin or any remote proctoring software company, I will gladly take a meeting with your Provost, President, Head of Distance Learning, or whomever to tell them, “no,” and why.

Someone asked about alternatives for ensuring "academic integrity." First, I& #39;ll say that I& #39;m not a fan of how that phrase has been twisted and used against students. Surveillance software is not a solution. Creating a culture of suspicion does not encourage "academic integrity."
