A couple of days ago, I found some letters from the tenant who lived in my apartment before me, and WOW. It’s a BDSM letter, from a dom mad his sub left him. (THREAD)
Since I’ve been quarantined, I decided to clean up all the stuff old tenants left behind. And I started finding some weird stuff, like a black spray bottle, and then, a LETTER.
It just said: “Part 2 of 2” on the front, and it’s a rant from a guy who’s pissed that a woman broke up with him, trying to explain himself, & also blaming her for, among other things, owing him $15k that he just wants her to “pay forward to some other young lost soul.”
There’s so much anger in this letter but he keeps pulling back and saying “but I digress,” like he& #39;s trying to keep it together. After a particularly nasty bit, he signs off “Fondly & Forever, Luke.” But when I went to go check the closet, I found “Part 1 of 2” and OH BOY.
Part 2 was normal-sized, Part 1 was HUGE, and written on 5 sheets of red construction paper. After starting the same way as Part 2 (“taking pen to paper”), it goes “when you invited me to be your Lover, partner, and Master, it was truly a Beautiful moment.”
Luke (forever fond) was pissed that his sub had left him, but was trying to pretend he wasn’t. So it’s full of him telling her she’s so much smarter than she knows—and digressions about how he misses f***ing her throat.
There are honest-to-god categories like “desire,” & “intent,” like a powerpoint. It includes gems like the time she got offended he gave her a contract, and “In fairness, I was incredibly busy at the time with work”
At the end of the letter, there’s an itemized gift list, which included a spa gift card, some “stalkings” from a sex shop (intentional, or just a Freudian slip?), & this “super-rare and Hot!!!” erotic book he found called “50 Shades of Gray,” along with him mansplaining it.
Everything about these letters raise questions. Why are they in my apartment? Why does Luke both seem like the most boring person ever, yet also a serial killer? Did this person ever read the letters? Did she even think they were in a relationship?
But most of all, who says you can’t discover new things while in quarantine? But I digress. Fondly, David.
