/ This is a thread dedicated to the NHS workers who risk their own lives to save those of others
/ The other day I tweeted about the Muslim belief in Angels and how they gather around the dying person to comfort them while their souls exit the bodies.
/ It was very well received and so I am encouraged to share this anecdote from the Quran about the conversation between God and the angels.
/ When God decided to create mankind, He informed the angels of his decision, saying that he would send human beings to the Earth.
/ The angels are unsure about the value of this new creation. They asked God what the benefit of it would be, given that the angels already exit to praise God and the humans would turn out to be troublemakers.
/ God said to the angles "you do not know what I know" as in his infinite wisdom God knew that mankind were able to do as much good an Earth as they would make mischief.
/ Scholars have mentioned that as a follow on from that conversation, whenever human beings on Earth do good, and show mercy and kindness to each other, God proudly points it out to the angles. Letting them see that His creation was not in vein.
/ So to all those who are fighting on the Covid front line, you are exemplary human beings. You are the manifestation of God's mercy through your courage and dedication. Know that you make us all proud. Know that God is witness over you, and He is also proud of you.
