my gripes with acnh; a thread.
foreword: i absolutely adore acnh and the series as a whole. this thread isn& #39;t to pick apart the nitty-gritty, its just my opinions of things i want to point out about how the game has more or less been not very user friendly to me.

firstly, i& #39;ll address the things everyone has been saying.
crafting in bulk. please, please, PLEASE let us choose how much we want to craft at once PLEASE!! it would make making literally anything in large amounts like fish bait SO MUCH EASIER to make. when i make fish bait

i get settled in, get my phone out, and begin mashing the fuck out of A. it gets SO ANNOYING after multiple runs. it eventually just made me give up on trying to get the stringfish altogether.

you build in order to progress with the game& #39;s main """"story"""". while telling nook i wanted to demolish the bridge, i had to go through like 4 menus of telling him YES, I WANT TO DEMOLISH THIS BRIDGE. when you finally reach the FINAL prompt, the game decides to do that thing
thats commonly done with major decisions such as deleting game files or major story changing events where they SWITCH the yes and no option around. i was just trying to mash to get to demolishing my bridge but TWICE i had to go through it again because of the prompt getting
switched around. another example of this is traveling to someone& #39;s island. man is this shit a hassle. i wish it were as easy as just mashing A to get to your friend& #39;s town or just picking ONE prompt to tell orville you wanna go to a friend& #39;s island but first you have to do the
long ass save animation, then you have to tell him if you wanna do local or online, which, WHY is LOCAL the first option?? and then you have to tell him you wanna go to a friends island, and only THEN can you pick a friend& #39;s island to go to. as much as i hated the "lets make an
animal crossing game" video by jelloapocalypse i can fully agree with him that the menus and prompts of animal crossing are, IN NO WAY, user friendly whatsoever, to me at least. when going to friend& #39;s islands is something people do so commonly, having to go through 4 different
text prompts just to do it is so unbelievable annoying and unnecessary to deal with.
next, eating fruit. i recently found that the only purpose that eating turnips has is that it automatically fills your fruit bar to 10. why isn& #39;t there an "eat 10" or "eat all" option for fruit

??? having to mash down and A to select eat and not accidentally drop the fruit is just so stupid when theres literally an item in the game which has the same effect despite it providing no actual benefit, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT YOU CAN DO THAT EXACT THING THAT NO OTHER FRUIT
CAN DO??
next, bunny day. okay, frankly, i really enjoy crafting in animal crossing. i recently redeemed 5000 nm for the robot hero recipe and i can& #39;t wait to see how long its gonna take me to get everything i need to craft it, but bunny day used to just be so much better in

the previous games. one day, one type of egg, objectively uglier furniture, yes, but that shit sold for SO MANY BELLS. the thing i recall the most is time travelling back to easter in acnl and getting a ton of bunny day furniture to sell and making a ton of money. although the
eggs did come in handy when i was working on building my town because they were more abundant than fruit and made moving trees easy.
next, and i think finally, is tools. i& #39;m not sure what it is with nintendo and making tools break so weirdly quick. first in breath of the wild,
next, and i think finally, is tools. i& #39;m not sure what it is with nintendo and making tools break so weirdly quick. first in breath of the wild,
and now in acnh. its so weird?? like okay, flimsy tools i get it, and maybe even regular tools, but golden tools?? and they dont even have any special effects, except just that the last longer?? i miss when there were just regular, silver, and gold tools. even if JUST the flimsy
tools broke, i would understand, but once i found out gold tools could break it really stuck out to me. golden tools were a major reward to people who played animal crossing a lot, but the fact that they break now with the only additional effect being that they just last longer
