Here is my list of my favorite #podcast short series, that accompany me while I clean and organize my apartment. They are not related to COVID-19. I am now done with these series, and hoping to listen to ones that you recommend, cause we are not going out anytime soon.
The Realness- a six series podcast by @WNYC about Hip Hop Legend, Prodigy, of Mobb Deep fame, who passed from sickle cell anemia. It delves into NY Hip Hop scene in the 90's and the racism inherent in lack of treatment for peole with sickle cell. https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/realness
Floodlines- The story of an unnatural disaster , a new podcast by @TheAtlantic about Katrina and the racism prevalent in both the media coverage of the disaster, the government response and how it permanently altered lives of New Orlean's African American residents
White Lies by @NPR a serialized podcast about the 1965 murder of Rev. James Reeb — a Unitarian minister and civil-rights activist in Selma. The case was never solved and two journalists travel to Selma to "uncover a story about guilt, memory and justice" https://www.npr.org/2019/05/03/720096355/introducing-white-lies
Please recomend your favorite serialized podcasts, that are not related to the news cycle and tell one single story spread out through numerous episodes. Three serialized podcasts that I did not like are Fausto, produced in Mexico, Down the Hill and S-Town.
