Remember how the city took a Play Street without seeking community input or approval and used it for teacher parking? https://nyc.streetsblog.org/2020/01/15/placard-class-warfare-brooklyn-play-street-scrapped-so-teachers-can-park/
Well, I took the Play Street back and now people who need space to spread out can use it again. https://nyc.streetsblog.org/2020/04/07/analysis-why-de-blasios-open-space-pilot-was-such-a-failure-and-check-out-what-you-can-do-with-cones/
By the way, this has been in place since 4 PM Sunday. No one complained and nobody even noticed, other than the people using it safely. The world didn't end. Life went on. Sometimes cities are so invested in "process" that they forget that people quickly get used to change.
