ASTRONOMY [ THREAD ] TIME:
What would it be like if Earth had 2 moons??
Let& #39;s talk about what what a moon.
What would happen to Earth with another moon?
So many other planets have multiple moons.

First off what is a moon?
It might be a surprise but, currently, there is no scientific definition of a moon.
A broad description is, a [natural] satellite that orbits a celestial body.
I have read several arguments about the "natural" part but as of now we are going with that.

Moons orbit both planets and ASTEROIDS!
Moons come in many shapes, sizes and types. Most are airless, dusty, and rocky, but a few have atmospheres and even hidden oceans. Because the definition of a moon is so loose there is a HUGE range of environments and sizes.

Some have a violently active volcanic surfaces, others are like balls of ice. But moons have a big effect on the body that they orbit. They have a gravitational pull and that can cause all different kinds of effects. The more moons you add the more those grow or change.
OK ok, so back on topic of if Earth had another moon.
For the purpose of this thread let us say we copy and pasted a duplicate of the moon we currently have but in a slightly different orbit (so they don& #39;t collide).
First off it would look awesome to see two moons in the sky.

But, it would not be all pretty sights and awesome photos.
First, the evenings would be brighter which would disrupt many sleep cycles of animals and change plant growth.
